The day before we fly to Dublin

My wife spent the whole day packing mine and her things, whilst I sat downstairs watching TV until she required me to help choose what to take whilst sitting up in bed so I could rest as much as possible, to be okay to go to Dublin 👍🏻.

When the kids came home (they’re adults really), my boy put some (muck off) inner tube sealant to help to prevent getting flat tyres on my scooter whilst in Dublin🤞🏼. When everyone was ready to go, off we went with a McDonald’s on the way (not so healthy 😒 but very convenient).

The drive there was pretty good for the wife, not too much traffic (she now has to all the driving, whereas I used to do it, I can only manage local town driving & that’s not very often). The only problem we had was I had directed us to the wrong Premier Inn Hotel. Which we didn’t find out until we drove through the barrier, parked up, unloaded the car and went to reception. When we got to reception they had trouble finding our booking even though I showed him the confirmation email I had received. We did have trouble opening it up I guess because my Phone is quite old (iPhone 8). Eventually found our booking but for some reason it was booked under Dkj Bentley rather than Daron Bentley 🫤, which is when he found our booking and let us know we were at the wrong hotel. He told us which one to go to. So to everyone else’s delight they had to reload the car and off we go again (luckily only about 10 - 15 mins down the road). When we reached the right hotel luckily it was a nicer looking hotel than the one we left behind 👍🏻.

We go to check in, all pretty good other than she sent us the wrong way to the room. Once we found our room the kids helped take our stuff to and then went off to their room. I stayed in the room to try and get some rest and my lovely wife went to have a drink and quick look round hotel with the kids. My son had the same problem with the scooter as my mate Lee did, the handle on scooter when folded up was a little short when you pull it along like a suitcase on wheels but I have now ordered the handle extender for it but unfortunately for my son it hadn’t arrived in time for this break, otherwise all good.

Bed not too bad but as I am used to sleeping with a neck pillow, large maternity pillow (help support back in between legs and my hand), another pillow to support my back and another to support my shoulder and other hand. Having one pillow is a tall order really to expect to get some sleep. I was so very tied that I did manage to get a little sleep surprisingly. Woke up earlier than needed to but got ready and off we went to the airport. Will write soon with more about this trip Daron😊.
